애초 이 영상은 나의 소중한 친구 조이스를 위해 기획했다.

 

그녀는 매일 아침 출근 전 커피 한 잔을 두고 10분 동안 '솔로 타임'을 갖는다.

저널링을 하며 그 시간을 향유하는 그에게 잔잔한 배경음악을 선물하고 싶었다. 

 

그렇게 영상을 만들고 보니 배경음악이라기 보다

그녀의 '솔로 타임'을 이미지화했다는 생각이 들었고

10분간 자기만의 시간을 갖는 누구나,

이 영상을 음미할 수 있지 않을까 하는 아이디어가 떠올랐다. 

 

내 친구처럼 출근 전 10분도 좋고,
브레이크 타임에 커피 한 잔이나 담배를 피우는 시간에 여유 있게 즐길 수 있기를 기대한다. 

이 영상에 나오는 저널링을 하는 여성은 나의 친구이자 이 영상을 시청하는 바로 '당신'이다. 

 

처음에 나오는 커피를 만드는 과정을 제외하고는 모든 장면이

그 저널링에 등장할 만한 당신의 스토리이자, 꿈이자, 버킷리스트일지도 모른다.

This video was originally planned for my dear friend Joyce. She sets aside 10 minutes every morning before heading to work to enjoy a cup of coffee and have some solo time. I wanted to gift her with gentle background music while she indulges in journaling during that time.

 

As I created the video, it occurred to me that rather than just background music, I was visualizing her solo time. I thought it would be an idea that anyone who has 10 minutes of their own time could savor and enjoy. Whether it's like my friend's 10 minutes before work or a break time with a cup of coffee or a cigarette, I hope people can leisurely appreciate it.

 

Just like my friend, you, the viewer of this video, are the woman journaling. I hope you can find tranquility and fulfillment in those moments, regardless of where you are. Except for the initial coffee-making process, every scene represents your story, dreams, and even your bucket list. Wherever you may be, I pray for your well-being.
